Once upon a time in Giverny

LA RÉSERVE

Situated on the hills above Giverny, on the edge of the woods and orchards, La Reserve invites you to stay in one of it’s five rooms, all overlooking the garden. The Reserve is a charming Bed and Breakfast where Valerie and Francois Jouyet, and sometimes their children, will give you a friendly and generous welcome, over a glass of their homemade cider or a cup of tea.

This long, 600-square-meter building, nestled in a natural setting and set in a 5-hectare clearing, offers you a calm, bucolic setting, yet close to the hustle and bustle of the Musée des Impressionnismes and the Jardins de Claude Monet. For the enjoyment of young and old alike: pétanque pitch, playground, animals (donkeys, pigs, henhouse, etc.).

From May 2024, it will add a magnificent swimming pool and pool house to its charm, offering guests a haven of peace in which to recharge their batteries and relax.

The breakfasts included, served in the large family dining room, are much appreciated: fresh breads, pastries, home-made jams, locally-produced yoghurts, cheeses, cold meats, eggs from the henhouse…

The large homely lounge (like in a friend’s house) is the ideal place on your return from visits. Sitting by the stone fireplace, with a good book, and close to the pool table, table soccer or piano, you’ll share happy moments with the other guests.

The bedrooms, all decorated differently, offer refinement, authenticity and comfort. With its distinctive 18th-century charm, our guest house is dedicated to sharing the gentle way of life and the slow pace of yesteryear.
